We paint aluminum direct from our own facilities, so your parts go from forming and fabrication to finish without another trip — saving time and handling.

Mid-Am has a long history of applying high-performance coatings to aluminum, in both liquid and powder, meeting or exceeding the AAMA 2605, 2604 and 2603 specifications. We are an approved applicator for Sherwin-Williams, PPG and AkzoNobel products.
Color matching for 70% PVDF liquid paints is done in house, including specialty finishes with micas, so we can respond quickly on any scope of job. Matching air-dry systems are available for touch-up in the field.
Our horizontal line takes brake metal shapes, flat sheet, fabricated assemblies, curved parts and straight extrusions up to 290 inches long. Rotary atomizers and manual spray are used together, so every piece gets individual attention.
Powder coating
Alongside liquid PVDF, we apply architectural powder coatings to the AAMA 2604 and 2603 specifications — a durable, solvent-free finish for aluminum that holds its color.
Conversion coating
Our multistage pretreatment submerges aluminum in a hexavalent chromium conversion coating, protecting the metal from corrosion — even on surfaces that will never be painted. Chrome pretreatment holds up in severe environments.
Many customers have us apply this coating, also known as Alodine, to parts that will be hidden but still need protection from the elements.
